PUNCTURES & DAMAGE
Tyre Valve Leak Symptoms
A valve or valve-core leak can mimic a slow puncture. Pressure testing helps separate valve, tyre and rim leak sources.
Safety note: tyre fitment and safety decisions depend on the exact vehicle, tyre specification and physical condition. These pages are educational guides, not a remote roadworthiness inspection.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Tyre Valve Leak Symptoms FAQs
Can every puncture be repaired?
No. Repairability depends on location, size, internal condition, previous repairs and tyre design. Sidewall or structural damage is especially important to assess correctly.
Why does the tyre need inspection instead of only plugging the hole?
Driving while underinflated can damage the inside of a tyre. A proper assessment considers internal condition, puncture path and whether the repair area is suitable.
Can Top Point check a slow leak?
Yes. The workshop can check tyre, valve, bead and rim leak sources and advise whether repair or replacement is appropriate.
Workshop location: Top Point Fitment Center currently operates from 112 Turf Club Street, Turffontein, Johannesburg South. National tyre guides are research resources and do not represent branches elsewhere in South Africa.
