TOP POINT VEHICLE GUIDE
Why Is My Steering Wheel Vibrating?
Steering-wheel vibration can come from wheel imbalance, tyre or rim problems, braking components, steering wear or suspension faults. The speed and conditions at which the vibration occurs can help guide inspection.
What you can check safely
- Note when the symptom occurs and whether speed, braking or road surface changes it.
- Check tyre pressures against the vehicle recommendation when tyres are cold.
- Look for obvious tyre damage or warning lights without dismantling components.
- If steering, braking or vehicle stability feels unsafe, avoid unnecessary driving and arrange an inspection.
Top Point can inspect the relevant tyre, alignment, braking, steering, suspension, battery or diagnostic systems at our Turffontein workshop.
